Do not think they built those in Oz but now I have to bore you with the story .
First time I went to New Zealand in 2004 the only mag I fancied taking on the plane was Practical Classics which has the Rust in Peace section. Thought NZ might be a good place to spot old wrecks so kept my eyes out. Took a few pics but when I got back I sent in a picture of an old Volkeswagen that was out at the East Cape Lighthouse , most easterly point on a large landmass in the world. They printed the story & pictures.
Went back in 2006 , landed in Christchurch on the south island . Headed off west across the island towards Greymouth but had to take a diversion due to roadworks . Went through a small town and saw the line up of cars in the picture. There were also some other vehicles there including a cute Fordson truck. Took pics then about 2 weeks after I got back I sent them in to the mag. Got a reply to say that had just received the same pictures about a week before
