Wow. It looks new. What did you use to clean it with?

vapour blasting, also known as aqua blasting, its a mixture of fine glass beads and water, forced by compressed air, its done in a cabinet like a grit blaster...  but with much better results...

I stripped the engine down completelly to give the internals a good decoke and to change all the gaskets. It was leaking oil all over and baking it to the engine. I cleaned most of it with gunk and parafin before sandblasting the tinware. I then repainted all the tinware and reassembled it. Its now sat in the boot of my other car waiting for fitting this weekend! I have done it just as a tidy up before I take it out again this summer for a tune up. Im going with the Panda 30 head fingers crossed!

ypsilon ....... im ready to buy the bits  for mine, i cant decide wether to go all the way and have the crank balanced, flywheel lightened and balanced, port the head (is panda 30 head the way to go ?)
and fit a twin choke weber 40, or just get new shells and main bearings and build it up standard,
if i just do it standard for now i would buy another engine and make it into a full blown screamer (WELL A BIT OF A WHISLER !)

The Panda 30 head is a good mod to go for bit mine is an A/C model (I also have the advantage of going over to Italy every year where the Panda 30 is a bit more common place and easier to find in the scrap yard). With it being so easy to take the engine in and out etc I have been doing it in stages. What you have said though all sounds good. Are you doing the work yourself?
