Acid Dipping
« on: January 24, 2010, 06:30:10 PM »

Has anyone had experience with acid dipping process?

Looks a bit too pricy to me, but what looks good is the electric static coating they put on.

Not done it but have followed the Jag resto in Practical Classics mag for quite a while and they dipped it to get rid of all the paint, rust, underseal etc.

I think it's worth while but you probably want to acid dip, assess the rot, do any repairs then go for the e-coat.
