Build Date Y reg 126
« on: June 09, 2023, 02:01:20 PM »
Hi All,

My car was first registered 28/04/1983 and I see that I can switch to historic tax free if it was built before 1st January 1983.  Give the registration date, I guess it might be more than possible my car was beguiled in 1982.

I have the VIN obviously but can’t seem to find any online sites that give me the build date.

Does anyone know where I can find this out?

Thanks

Email Fiat in Italy.
I did this when I bought my Polish 126 without any paperwork.
They couldn't tell me, but put me in touch with a guy at the factory in Poland who confirmed the year it was built (but not the month) - I couldn't believe how simple it was.

If not, it looks like you'll have to wait another year.

Great Thank you.  You don’t happen to have the fiat email address to hand as not having much luck on google…

This is the email address I used...

Their postal address is ...

Centro e Archivio Storico Fiat

Replies came back very quickly and in very good English.

Hope you can get it sorted
