Plans now include a-
-stripped out super clean interior

-leaded joints to all body panels
-smoothed painted dash
-chrome bonnet (powder coat)  with contrasting body colour checker board
-other stuff I decide to do

and a complete repaint inside and out.

Started fabricating patches for all the factory "holes" that won't be required in my smoothed new interior I started with all the round holes and had a little help from my girlfriend jewellery workshop with this disc cutter-

it has a set of holes running 2 plates you can hammer a set of punches through creating nice discs that I can weld into the interior.
More tomorrow!

I had a local firm make it for me in Hadleigh Essex/suffolk (not the one near southend) £250 but well worth it as it sounds great and a lifetime guarentee if checked every year at a registed garage....................go on you know you want to!!!

You're certainly doing a thorough job, that interior insulator stuff is a killer to remove. It really will be nice and tidy. :)

Deseam completed on the other side today-

and got these alloy plates to make into floor runners- I intend to cut them to follow the lines of the front wheel wells and angle them up the foot boards- they will be mounted off the floor slightly on little steel posts on the floor-

more progress soon when i get a new angle grinder!
