Rear spring rubber mount installation problem.

Hi everyone,

I recently decided to lower my AC 126. When doing so, I noticed that one of the rear spring rubbers had cracked, the other one was in bad shape.
I removed the old ones but I can’t get the new ones on with the metal seat. (without the metal seat is no problem but not the correct way I’m afraid)
I’ve ordered these parts:

Does anyone have any idea on how to mount these parts?

I think this is how it should be done, beeing nr 2 the metal seat.

The problem is that I need to stretch the rubber isolator (3) over the hole in the chassis. Once this is done I can't get the metal seat (2) on to the rubber.
Or, if I first put the rubber on the metal seat, then I cant get the rubber to sit properly against the chassis.

I'm at the point that I want to trim some material of the rubber to make it work, but this can't be the proper way of doing things.

I've never done this so might be barking up the wrong tree, but could you use spring compressors on the spring to give you more wriggle room?

  I replaced the rubbers, springs and seats last year. If all is well, the rubbers will fall into the ring (around the hole)at de underside of the car.

  Found another picture of the underside where the rubber should fit..

They are finally installed (sort off).

I left the rubbers on the car for a few days, without the metal seats installed.
After this, I was able to push the seats on with the help of some grease.
Like you can see in the picture, the rubber is a bit deformed, maybe it will settle over time.

Not the correct way I guess, but it works. Maybe I'll look at it later, but now it's time for the engine and gearbox.

Update,

I've ordered new rubbers and they fit perfectly.
This time from an Italian brand not a polish. Maybe it works now because my car is Italian?
