Alloys and trims restoration
« on: March 30, 2015, 07:36:28 PM »
Hello All,

I am currently sprucing up my 'Maluch' and got my mits on some restored alloys and mini trims. They are already sanded and have a base coat. I want to match the colour to my interior and paint alloys in capuccino and trims in mustard color. Obviously want to keep the cost down so not looking into any company but want to do it myself. What sort of paint do I need. Am I looking into sprays or laquers?

My mate can paint it with spray gun but I dont know what paint I need for it

Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you
A

Call at your local automotive paint supplier and explain what you want to do they should be able to point you in the right direction regarding quantity required etc
Laquer as a general rule is used over a base coat of your chosen colour which dries to a matt finish, the laquer is used to give it a glossy shine
You can by 2K (2pack) in a gloss ie no need for laquer so a bit cheaper to apply
