Carburettor supplier/s anyone ???
« on: May 28, 2014, 02:24:51 PM »
I'm looking for a factory type reconditioned carby for my 650cc Aircooled FSM. I've tried to get one thru Ludevit as he has them listed but he keeps telling me he has no stock. It has been that way for over a year now. It's the 28 IMB 250 I'm after.
There is one seller on Ebay from Poland, says they have them, price is O.K. but they want something like 600 Euros to send it !!
Anyone know of another source ???

Hi! I think that the guy is very helpful and wants to bring it in person down there for 600E :$

Which model is your engine: 126A1.076 (with 28IMB 5/250) or .076/E (28IMB 10/250 or 12/250)?

I'll take a look around for a brand new one :)

PS - I don't mind to come in person as well  ;D

I think it's the 10/250. It's a 1987 and does not have the electrical sensor/ connection shown on some of the later(?)  cars (rearward facing with a spade terminal)

For the freight they wanted, i could get to Europe but I'd need to walk home but I'd get tired !

For an 87 car you should have the standard carb without the later electric gizmos. If you have a decent carb body you could do a good rebuild. I have also heard some bad stories about some of the so called recon carbs that are being offered.

I've found another Ebayer in Poland who's carbs are cheaper and only wants 16 pounds to fly one out, so the money has changed hands and I wait patiently.

Just an update for anyone else who might be having carby issues ?

My refurbished carby arrived quickly and is fitted and I am up and running again. No exchange core required !!

The seller is on Ebay as <   pmx.pl  >  His understanding of and ability to communicate in English is pretty good.
