Jesus......!  They are a couple of minters!

I love the black one especially! you have paid real attention to detail, the chrome mirrors are a nice touch and the interior dash is great too!

I am after some wheels like the red car has, if you know of any for sale then maybe you would let me know.

i can ask some friends about the wheels. the price would be about 10-15 EUR/wheel plus transport...

and i'm glad that you like it :) the interior is a bit different now, but in the same climate :)

Red one is 1976
and black 1982 :)
the exhaust is based on polski fiat 125p or polonez last silencer.
it's a bit noisy but the car runs like hell on it :)
and i love the sound over 4000 rpm :)
i also made some mods on engine but i don't know the words to explain them :P

It is possible to get adaptor plates to fit the early wheels, I have a front disk conversion on my 500 which came with two plates for fitting the original 500 stud pattern wheels (the disk conversion uses a standard Fiat PCD).

As the wheels fitted to my car are the normal Fiat PCD the plates are surplus to requirements, I might be able to locate another pair.

Nigel, i thought your 500 was an R? so stuf pattern should take early 126 wheels? or did you uprate hubs?

Chris

You are right, the R had the normal wide 500 stud pattern but the disk conversions have a normal PCD disk with an adaptor plate for the 500 wheels. As the alloys I had were the normal Fiat PDC i did not need the adaptor plates. I then fitted hubs and brakes from a 126 so the rear matched.

How are you getting on with the aircooled's MOT?

Its quite a common mod for 500's to change to 126 brakes and hubs, if you really wanted to change the hubs you could try putting a posting on the 500 chat site asking if anybody who has done the conversion if the would sell the old unwanted bits.

Only problem is that the brakes on the 126 are slightly bigger/better.
