Sorry for posting a non Fiat related topic,
but I thought since a lot of people on this forum are do-it-your-selfers maybe someone could give me advice for my record player?
Basically I don't know what weight to use with the pickup.
I think my stylus is of the diamond / magnet type, and it's a new stylus. It's not one of those cheapo ones, at least!
I know that I've been getting a scratchy, fuzzy sound on higher frequencies when the arm says it's around 2 grams, but the readout may not be stating the actual weight... need one of those external measuring devices.
When I increase the weight to what I think is around 3-3.5 grams, I get a much better sound, but I don't know if this is too much on the stylus / record.
Does anyone here know more about it?
