No warm air
« on: November 17, 2017, 04:02:45 PM »
Hi guys, only getting cold air inside my fiat 126 air cooled car. I assume this is just a simple fix by changing the thermostat? The flap stays open inside the engine compartment when ticking over

What year car is it? Silly question but have you opened the black vents just under the dashboard to let the air in? The thermostat flap alone won't stop the car getting warm.

It is a year 2000, and I get cold air when I open up the flaps inside the car both up into the windscreen and to the two vents when changed

This should be really simple to sort but its never easy sorting these things out remotely!  Assuming that you have turned the heater lever to the right (sorry for stating the obvious but it's usually the obvious things that cause the problem!) then I would check that the 'tube' that channels the engine heat to the car is in place and attached.
