I've been struggling between drive shaft problem & lack of motivation..
So yesterday finally I got the drive shaft problem sorted out. Now the original drive shaft from Fiat 600 has been modified. Also a sleeve was made which has two needle roller bearings and an axial sealing. This was made because I have Fiat 600 gearbox installed and the drive shaft comes in an modest angle out from the gearbox resulting that the original cover rubber gets wringled. And if you would go driving with that setup the lifetime of the inner cover rubber would be max. 100km and gearbox oil would drain out.
Original setup (rubber rubs to the drive shaft)
Measuring the drive shaft
Drive shaft sealing area was modified to be wider
Cover sleeve was made and it includes needle roller bearings in both ends and a axial sealing
The sealing rubber (from a Citroen C5) and the cover sleeve will stay on and the drive shaft will rotate.
And here it is installed to the car.. (axial sealing not installed in the picture)
