Halfords - trade card
« on: June 23, 2009, 11:25:41 PM »
has anybody got a Halfords trade card?

My brother in law has one and he saves a fortune,

i think it knocks up to 20% off. I take him on trips to Halfords shopping with me brings the price down a lot!!  :D

All you have to do is prove youre in the motor trade or industry.

Regards

Chris

I've got one and I think its worth its weight in gold. The discount applies to tools, car parts, haynes manuals and some other things as well. The discount varies, sometimes it's not so much but sometimes they're practically giving it away. I bought a headlamp bulb which should have been around £10 and after the discount was under a pound.

Just dug out some old receipts.
Ratchet spanner set 49.99 down to 31.99
27mm socket 8.99 down to 7.19
36mm socket 7.29 down to 5.83
tool box 29.99 down to 23.99

All I had to show them was a payslip and I had my card. Its well worth having.

My brother got one but I'm not sure how. He used to work at Halfords so unless it was a length of service thing I don't know because he's an arborist now and I dare say that's not a motor trade that would normally be accepted, only motors he knows now are chainsaws ;)

Maybe just 'cos Elgin's a small store they'll give them out to select regular, trusted customers.

I work for a large transport company and all the payslips are the same. So once word got around about it a lot of people who weren't fitters got a card, drivers, office staff, cleaners, they all told them they were fitters and got a card no questions asked.
