If i fit CC Sporting wheels with 155/65 tyres do i need spacers behind the wheels or do they just fit straight on?

Just found out that when fitted to the CC the wheels had spacers, i have seen quite a few 126s with these wheels fitted, so they will fit but does anybody know if they need the spacers and if so, what thickness should i be looking to purchase?

cheers.

cheers bis that is fantasic news, and i believe you have 165/55s on yours, do they foul the arches when you turn the front wheels to full lock? although i will more than likely be going for 155/65s because they are almost half the price.

um might go for the 165/55s then, anybody know what these Nankang  tyres are like, they are certainly well priced, and they are even rated for susstained speeds of up to 130 mph so i'll be allright to take my bis on the autobahns :)

well go my wheels fitted along with 4 new Nankang 164/55 13s, great fit and they look pretty cool aswell. ended up using the original Bis wheel bolts as the cinquecento ones that came with the wheels have a different thread, my spare was bald so i picked up an unused siecento space saver for less than the cost of a new standard 126 tyres, which is almost identical to the standard bis wheels yet is painted red with a big yellow blob with 80 in it; does this mean if i put this red wheel on the car i can get it to do 80 :)  mind you with the alloys and Nankang tyres it should be good for 130 as that is what it say the tyres will do.

nice one bruce, always good to fit new wheels.

by the way,if anyone does need them,i think a local parts center still has some spacer sets to fit 126 etc,you see them here first before i ebay them,if they are still there,(they were in 1982)

stuey, funny thing is.......mine rubbed more before i lowered it......center line of wheel is now well in the well!...lowering kit is WELL recomended,as mentioned before, push hard through (tight) corners and the car does not lift and tuck in(outer rear to the corner),its great...it does show its limits by lifting an inside rear and spinning it..more so now with the engine mods......and in the wet its very easy to power slide it through the same corner..........
