Have just sent this message, "Hello, is there any documentation of where it was built, as far as I know (I am the 126 uk registrar) there were no 126's built after 1980 in Italy, also Bambino was the German name for the 126, not a limited edition, this car is either very interesting, or very wrong, we have a few club members who are interested, but are put off by the above. If you can show us the paperwork to support ,I am sure you will get much more interest. Marc club126uk.co.uk "

FIAT 126 650 Personal 4 (till 1979 -Italy) = Polski FIAT 126p 650K (for the Soc.Block till 1984) = FIAT 126 650 Bambino (Polish export version)!!! Since 1980 in Italy there is only Panda!

PS- Mine is 650 Bambino unfortunately with some FL mods...

And the celebration of the Ferrari Fiat merger was probably in 1969, when Fiat took on the controlling share.

I think we had the same discussion before and I believe it`s the same seller who sold few of these"limited edition Bambino" cars.
Just have a search for Bambino on the forum:)
 Me think it`s a load of b@..@...

I agree with 1973/126, but it does look good, and Ebay is very good at sorting out disputes. So if you buy it and are not happy, I'm sure that being sold a factory special car that doesn't exist would work out quite nicely for you.

Even if you buy it and are happy, you should be able to get it knocked down to Practical Classics price guide value, due to it being a non existent special edition, that was not even built in the country it is claimed to have been.

Presently £2550, I reckon it will go for £2950 to someone who will be happy regardless!  :o

Mine should be worth a fortune! It is the only amphibious Fiat 126, a very rare special edition.

Perhaps somewhat out there just likes the look of the car, despite the lack of pedigree, and may also fancy the Ferrari badges. That said, the exterior and interior looks in v.g. condition.

It does look to be (as far as we can see) a very good car, but we know (99%) that it is a FSM (polish built) probably brown, but not the special edition it is claimed to be, 126. Probably with no significant engine mods, and unknown quality suspension mods. It is likely a great 126 (if not a tad garish) just isn't what it is claimed to be.
