Very interesting, i bought some carb and injection cleaner air can the other day, i mean i cnat see the water harming your engine/carb as its gets burnt instantly. Do you think this is ok for aluminium engines though??
let us know mike how u get on

Well i just got back from my garage... using the vacume pipe which leads onto the throttle body i ran about 2 and a half pints of water through my engine....
first of all when doing this its quite scary as your engine does tend to bog down with all the water... but as i read before when it did that i just had to rev harder... LOADS steam comes from the exhaust and lots of black crap came out the back... after it was done i took my car up the road.
it made bit of a difference, my car pulled a LOT nicer from about 3>5k rpm... the power is much smoother now..
i would say 30 mins and a few pints of water... what a result!
lol after driving my cabriolet for a few months getting back into the gti and giving it a quick ragging up the road... i forgot how much power that car has! it doesnt have as many BHP as some cars but it has such an amazing ammount of torque..
