Next there is some minor welding to tidy up, knot brush all of the door and window apertures then a DA all over then it's time for filler!

Cool sandwich holder, but won't the mayonnaise pour out of the holes?

A little progress today-

And with a battery in it-

And made the front mounts for the petrol tank-

Hopefully by the end of next week I'll have all the internal mountings done and can start the filler work :(

More done over the last few days- faricated seat mounts and got them in the car with the seats- both sides are done ( only one in there pics) I've mounted the side seat belts on the mounts so I can undo 4 bolts and remove the seats and belts together

Right i have finally welded and cut holes in everything i ever wanted so I'm moving onto filling up said battle scars- starting with the front boot -

i have removed the fuse box and front brake reservoir, they will be relocated into the area behind the dash  and hidden by a hinged panel (seen here as a basic cardboard template) the spare wheel and air horns will still live under the bonnet and I'm considering putting the battery back in its original location as I'm a little nervous about having a battery and a fuel tank located behind the drivers seat, I'm starting to feel its asking for trouble- any hoo I've started to fill it and smacked a little primer to protect the metal whilst i crack on with the interior filling... more soon-
(what looks like seagull poop in the middle is some white primer showing through where i ran out and had to use black.... )

Filler work and other things continue but these arrived yesterday - my replacement air intakes and scoops which will be mounted in my Perspex windows. And yes they look a bit like she-pees!

I'm as excited to see your motor as I was mine! I think it'll be right up my street? Do you have a colour in mind yet? Or same as before?

Going with the original colour- trying to pull off a retro racer type look (irony of that statement with a 704cc engine is not lost on me!)
