Fiat parts from Austria
« on: July 23, 2008, 05:18:52 AM »
I just found this company whilst surfing the web.

http://www.puch500.at/default.htm

They are an Austrian outfit supplying parts for Steyr Puch vehicles. It turns out that they made a version of the Fiat 500. They also supply parts specifically for the 126.

Their website has an english translation (just click on the union flag on the left), and they accept credit cards.

I haven't used this company as yet, so I can't say whether they're any good.

If anyone does use them to buy parts maybe they could let us know how they get on?
Steve.

Off topic, does anyone have any other info on these Steyr-Puch 126es, i mean how different was it from the Ital/Pol version, was the engine any stronger. Theese are obviously wery rare, and would be a nice collectors item  :D

i'd like to know more about it too.. they made the haflinger 4x4 aswel, a 2 cyl aircooled (i think) 4x4, which i also like very much.

edit:
got some info off google:
http://www.histomobile.com/dvd_histomobile/histomo/272/6516.asp

looks like the steyr-puch motor is possibly better, it's 643cc and has 25Hp, and if its the same as the one in the haflinger 4x4's then it can take a beating, but produces alot of smoke:P i've seen videos of the haflinger club runs, and they all have them screaming trying to get up out of ditches and things with blue smoke everywhere, but i think thats what theyre meant for.
