126 bis engine
« on: July 25, 2018, 11:47:01 AM »
Hello,

My 126 bis is in need of some TLC and a new engine, the spark plugs seem to be gunking up at any chance and the fuel isn’t flowing through. I have had the fuel filter changed many times and spark plugs bought a new coil and HT leads but this didnt make a difference either. The car itself misfires and then conks out (still think it’s herbie). Anyone able to help?

Cheers
Chloe

Hi Chloe , welcome to the forum but at the risk of sounding rude you are asking for help with your engine but an almost total lack of information about the car and its history. The most relevant thing is the plugs "gunking" up. That would be down to an extremely worn engine or a blown head gasket. You also say "had the filter changed" which is a complete waste of time & money and also suggests you do not work on the car yourself. I am being blunt because if you are relying on a garage that are out of their depth with a specialist engine like the 126?Bis then you could end up with some big bills and be no further forward.
