I decided late last night to give this event a shot as it is only about an hour's drive for me & after a bit of mid week tinkering the little beast seemed to be running well. Yes Tom you did miss a real treat but I can tell you that the Clacket Convoy was a non starter with markymarc doing a solo however all was not lost as I counted six 126s in all. I came across a couple of dodgey characters in the Fiat Forum "Impersonate a celebrity" section. There was a young Michael Caine (markymarc) in the "Self Preservation Society" Bis then I came across Ken (have you been tickled ?) Dodd and young George Clooney (green-fly) posing for the public  ;D

Hey Guys! what a great day...got all the way back ok! she purred home! excellent post rustys uncle!! haha..my Mrs says she wishes i was the 'Cloonmeister' ! :D
It was really good to catch up with you all and thanks for going..funny introducing ourselves by username! nice to see your cars, they were lovely.

My Mrs was picked up by a 'kerb crawling' celebrity!...none other than David Bellamy!!!! unfortunately though he brought her back after tearing up the embankment in his lovely 500 ;D  ;D she is still traumatised :o  :D

(my photo i wanted to attach is too large so any help how to make it smaller to go on would help please!)

Excellent show, and glad we went, there was a few quid knocking about there today!

cheers!

I should also mention that icbis made it there in his sweet sounding Bis and there was a white Deville that parked up near to me but I never got to see the owner plus there was another nice looking white 126 parked in the Fiat Forum area. As green-fly said there were some totaly awesome motors there but the great thing is the event is all about Italian cars and whilst the supercars are something to behold there was also a lot of interest in the 126 cars  :)
Just going out now to gwub about in the undergwowth  ;D

It was a fantastic day out. It was great to meet Green-fly and his amazing green 126. His 126 looked even better in the flesh - one in a million. I was also glad to see Rusty and other 126s as well. I've never been to Brooklands before and it was absolutely worth it. A great get together of mainstream and exotic Italian cars, old and new in a wonderful setting. The new Alfa Romeo 8c competizione coupe and spider versions were to die for. The only thing that was annoying, I left my camera!!! Anyway, I would defintely go again next year.

There was the fully restored 1959 Multipla for £25K. A bit expensive but the owner has restored it literally from the ground up. The car was restored by Middle Barton and DTR. The level of detailing was fantastic.
