A few more pictures from today
I could do with a new rubber elbow that connects the air cleaner to the carb if anyone knows where to obtain one

I still haven't managed to capture the true colour in these pictures it looks the same colour as Chris's car but in reality is nothing like  :)

Not as much progress as I would have liked this week as I was sent to Palma to sort out a ASU (air start unit) at the airport, sat on top of a 585 HP 2 stroke diesel running at full chat with 34 degrees ambient air temp not much fun.
Anyway I digress
Can anyone tell me what the five square holes are for on the rear panel as I don't seem to be able to find anything that is missing ?

Chocolate Orange in picture is food for thought  ;)

Still stuck for rubber elbow on carb if anyone can help please

It's for a number plate holder they should have little square plastic inserts in them for you to screw a number holder on to

I did wonder if that was there purpose but with them not being equally spaced I wasn't too sure

Yeah it's a bit of an overkill for just a number plate  ;D

Well once again progress has been brought to a halt due to work, currently in Poland working on Polish Air Force deicers
The people here cannot believe anyone would want to restore a 126, I have only seen two so far neither of them on the road but unloved and rusty in a garden

On the upside we got to look around a few MIG 29 and they put on a spectacular low level show from which my ears are still ringing

Cheers Chris
Also looking forward to next year

Managed to get a little bit done last weekend
Changed gearbox oil for the correct grade of 80/90 mineral oil
Stripped and rebuilt dodgy starter motor
Fitted a new set of points and condenser and timed engine up again hopefully I can get it running correctly this weekend as it doesn't want to run with choke fully closed
Revs up cleanly but no tickover

Also got my wheels back from powder coating and fitted five new tyres Yokohama Blue Earth 145/70 R13s

Looking great :thumbup the tick over could be that the mixture screw needing to be turned out a few turns. If your happy with the mixture then try the idle speed screw  :)

Dad, let us know if you get any rubbing on the arches at the front with those 145/70/13's. They are 7mm taller than standard.
I am thinking of fitting some 155/65/13's (6mm taller than standard) on some 5J rims and they have a similar circumference as your ones.

Just tried out some 165/65/13's and they rub every time you go over a bumb in the road. (13mm taller than standard)

Must be the alloys you have that have a bigger offset or something as the 165/65/13 on standards i have don't rub.
