Have any of you guys seen the Skinner brothers' cars?

Look outwardly pretty standard apart from big wheels but they are fitted with small block chevys and run the 1/4 mile in 11 seconds - nearly as quick as a McLaren F1 road car.  There's a pic of one of them on the front page of my website www.fiat126.info  - the silver car botom left.

they are 13" 5.5j  with 175/50/13 tyres on not a clue where they came from bought them for ?60 from a guy on the fiat forum and spent ?200 putting the chrome style coating on.. if any one does know where they come from id be glad to know as they have no markings on them whatsoever....

Hi all, if you have see the video clip on the website, notice that is at santa pod, whichn is in milton keynes, a freind knows the two brothers who own those 126's with V8's, which are mounted in the front of the car. I am trying to get in contact with them and get them to come to a meeting with us all.

Stuey your car is/guna lookin good mate, i like the 'euro style' mods, why not try and find a lowering kit and drop the cars ride height!

i wonder if there is a single wiper conversion available anywhere? that would look nice...

thanks gorilly I appreciate that.... the lowering kit is on the way (see mods to come at the top of this thread) from ricmabio (as soon as they tell me how much theyre gonna charge me.... and I had considred a single wiper conversion   will have to build it as i dont have much cash though...  :(

watch this space as theres lots to come yet... ive waited 13 years to build this little car my heads brimming with ideas....

hmm you could always try buying a single wiper kit for another car from GSF car parts (www.andyspares.com) and the modding it to fit a 126, they are not that pricey at around ?60...

see your lowering kit is on the way! ?270 is very cheap too! bargain.
Just make sure you have decent bump stops! with the larger alloy wheels and the lowered suspension expect a bit of scrubbage! good, larger bump stops should stop the wheels from rubbing on the arches too much.

how low does that kit allow you to go?

let us know how you get on.

Just go down the scrappy and get a Uno wiper motor.

Drill a hole, bolt it in, wire it up, job done :)
