I want to buy an electronic ignition kit for a 1991 bis, is there anyone who makes them as a kit so I don't have to modify anything. I'm no mechanic so after a full kit that will work with minimal fuss, don't mind paying to have it fitted if needed.

There not off the shelf for the BIS but an aircooled type can be modified. YouTube has loads of examples

I have one of these fitted on my air cooled tuned 650cc motor and two years on it has been perfect. There is some more info here  http://www.123ignition.nl/id/32.html and you can download the installation manual for your mechanic, (note the UK manual comes after the dutch one!!) Good luck, John

Let us know how it goes if you get time to fit it.

Mines ready but with this weather the new garage build is at a stand still and now i have a little snow   :( and i don't like working outside in the cold, must be an age thing lol
