How do I remove the dashboard centre air vent? (BIS)
« on: June 05, 2020, 08:16:20 PM »
I am trying to spruce up the interior of a BIS and need to take out or detach the twin adjustable air vent thing. It is not shown in the manual (Club126 CD) and my so far gentle attempts to prise it out shows it to be very firmly attached.

Is the grille removable?

Another little puzzle I have is regarding the large oval rubber grommet behind the instrument panel that the speedometer cable passes through. The grommet looks as if it should be installed into position from within the cabin, but on this car the largest of the grommet flanges is on the scuttle cavity side so somehow it needs pulling into place which I think requires the services of a magician.
