engine lid 'spoiler'

hi all,getting around to cutting my engine lid it two.......,did the polish ever make an after market lip type rubber spoiler to fit?......im cutting at the bottom of the top vented panel and im looking for something to camoflage the cut........any help would be great,and im still after some of those vent covers they do over there....dave

what do the vent covers look like? # are they made of rubber ?? with a sliding thing?

hi richard,i think i know the ones you mean,had some on a 126 in the past,no its not them,the ones im after are a bit like the side vents,just a boy racer type thing,not a cold weather muff

you need to look at wilfried ritz fiat 500 center site, cant remember the address! he listed a few spoilers and there was one that went on the lid.
1987 Fiat 126 FSM, alloys, clear lights, Polish tat accessories... love it!

thanks for the info,i've checked the site out,but there is nothing on there that fits the bill for me..i'll keep looking,someone suggested a MK1 XR2 one,but i cant picture it,apparently they had a spoiler/rubber lip that ran along the tailgate just under the wiper arm.im only really looking to camoflage the join thats going to be there.

well,i've cut the lid,its come out fine,just need to fit the actuator and find that elusive lip......looks great propped open.... :cool:
