i dont know of anyone who has, but i know of people within the club who are fitting r1's into their  126 correct me if this is wrong but im sure theys aid they are fitting x2 r1's. Wern't R1's the fastest bike at one point??

Somwhere on this forum is a link to a video of a fiat 500 with a bike engine, not in a pretty state but very nippy!!!

It seems the original Barchetta uses the Floorpan and bulkhead with the runig gear intact and the GRP shaell is bonded to that.

There XLR8 kit uses the same GRP shell but a spaceframe chassis  underneath. As far as I can tell it looks like a Fiat but has NO Fiat parts :-(

I think Dave Arnott has built a barchetta - it is mostly 126 - the only 500 parts being the rear lights.

To track him down, try posting/searching on the 500 club website or look for his postings on the other 126 forum.
