Spent a bit of time in the garage today.

Leather Seats look like they will fit, I have been busy with the angle grinder and removed all the 'unwanted' trim and brackets.

Bought matching leather for the door cards, started retrimming them, looks easy on TV

Bought a Facet pump, regulator and fuel pipe. So hope to have time to fit tomorrow, still waiting for new carb to arrive.

chrome mirrors arrived, so another little job to fit.

You will love that electric fuel pump [-/

Only issue I had is that on the dellorto fzd the bypass back to the tank had no restriction in it thus the pump battled to fill the carb at full throttle so I turned-up a restrictor with a 1.5mm hole I think it was in it and it's been fine ever since.

When I tried blocking-off the bypass to the tank the regulator would close completely when idling for a while and then refused to open :-X Always happened in heavy traffic :-X

Best thing is no cranking to get fuel through  [-/

Pump  and regulator leaked took all apart, tried everything I could then cured with PTFE tape (thanks for the tip).
Then couldn't get it to pump at all. (battery was dead) At last sorted out.

Couldn't get it to run well (full choke only, stalled if I touched the gas) so re-manufactured carb fitted, leads, points, condenser, plugs. Timing checked.

Then it turned over but wouldn't fire Aghhhhhh! Back to square one, no spark ( After a lot of head scratching and a few strong words) Turned out to be the brand new condensor, old one put on and she runs. :-)
Hurray!!  :D

Quick brake service and MOT looming. ::)

Will it actually be back on the road?

Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

It was all going too well,  all was all OK, then I noticed an oil leak from rear of the engine.

i assume as car was standing it will be valve stem seals   :( as tend to harden and go brittle if these stand unused.

time for the head to come off, never-mind at least I will know it's a job done.

it will be on the road one day :$

dave pull of the thermostat housing and run the car and watch where it comes from is the rocker cover okay as most leaks come from there and tend to drip down or fly around if leaking from behind the carb.
the stem seals are little little rubber rings at the top of the valves do you mean the push rod cover seals?

Hello Dayvid!

Te magyar vagy?
Tudnál nekem segíteni?
A tavaly vásárolt donorautódból eladnád nekem a térképtartó polcot?
Nagyon szeretnék venni egyet.

Latest update:

Oil leak sorted. new vinyl interior fitted, very posh.
Car now runs Hallelujah!, Indicators work, hurray (but not showing on the dashboard >:(

I have removed the dash, a couple of dead bulbs, bad connections but problem still persists. the lights showed if car was running , but stopped working the following evening.
I am sure in my other 126s I had I could hear if the indicators were flashing, am I wrong??

Still has return to tank.

Why don't my indicators click? They flash but don't click or flash on the dash  :o
