Air cooled is diferent to the BIS

There is a big 'strut' which bolts onto the cradle and then bolt forward onto the bodywork under the tunnel.

The BIS does not have this.

mountings for the box are diferent on the BIS too but often wondered if BIS mountings are better.

Is there a cheap one I can buy that will fit an aircooled with no modification to the car? and that isnt going to cause damage to anything other than my clutch if I pull something too heavy?:P

theres no regular inspections here, so it doesnt really have to be legal, and unusual cars are pretty immune to police defects because unless it's really obviously unsafe the police are never going to know if it came standard with the car or not..

Maybe try PM-ing him as he's been a bit too quiet  :P

The boat is longer than the 126, not wider but alot lighter :P

Be careful. If I am reading the 126 Bis Owner's Handbook correctly, it says the car is not suitable for towing!!!!! That said, I would probably still get one where you can detach the towbar and replace it with one of those bike platform cycle carriers.
