i ment that i was gettin a fiat 500 engine juiced up to 1600cc :smt023
ok
this is not a wind up

So come on, dish the dirt, how what where and when?

Are you fabricating/forging a crank as well as the standard one is only just up to the job in a tuned 650/700 and even then you have to keep below 6000 – 6500rpm. They are hollow only have 2 bearings and a masive counterweight in the middle and are easy to snap, I would think that you would need to make up a three or four bearing crank to take the torque of 800cc bores! I cant think of any production 360 degree twin thats been taken anywhere near 1600cc.

What are your plans for the gearbox and drive shafts? A 1600 twin – if thats what you are planning will lunch the standard box in seconds, we are breaking driveshafts with a 70bhp four cylinder onto the standard 126 box!

No info yet!

I'm the last one to pour cold water on peoples ideas, but (you knew that one was coming....)I can't see how you are going to do it, I have just had a quick measure up and at over 1 liter the pistons will be so close to each other that there will be virtually no barrel left between them, I guess you could go 950 cc with siamised barrels and do the rest with the stroke, but 1600cc, I would love to be proved wrong.

Now if you were talking V twin then no problem, I would love to be proved wrong, tell us more....

No....still not gettin it!!!

If you are making a 500 engine bigger (is this what jucied up means?) why do you need to make the body bigger? or are you transplanting an engine from another car into your 500?

No pictures

No explanation

No idea whats going on here :???:

juiced up? perhaps he means he is mounting it on the kitchen worktop and fitting a kenwood super duper power juicer!!!! for kick ass smoothies!!  or its the first citrus powered motor car   (55 miles per jaffa)
