Hi James,
That is a real Dilema.... There are holes in the doors too where I took off the Bumper strips...

I am currently painting the bumper strips to put back on but it may look a little untidy with tiny crome bumpers...

Any ideas would be welcome? maybe a few Arbarth badges?
ha ha

Hi paul i also removed the side bump strips, tapped the square holes in with a ball point hammer, used glass fibre on the back of the holes and then filled them with pod,

but i suppose its just how far you want to go

yeah i like the clean look too and will be welding up the holes in the doors but as i am going to replace the fron twing i shall simply put earlier wings without the holes on there, Car looks great with chrome bumpers, I always fancied molding a set of carbon ones if was to have bumpers on it for that "double look" affect lol

cheers Doug
Its slow but it does it in style !!

doug, you cannot fit early wings to a bis or late a/c,they have a more flared lip and will not fit.

hey pete, good work, but why did you not get shot of the bumper pressings too???

if you are going to go to the lengths of making ac wings fit the bis it would be easier to just fill the bumper holes on the originals as it will be more stressfull the other way round , but if its what you realy wish to do then good luck and dont forget some "anadin" for during and some "stella" for after you have finished the job :D

Hi Nathan,

Kinda personal really.  We found out on monday that my wife is expecting another baby.... Which we are both very pleased about, but unfortunatly she suffers from a condition called "hyperemises" which in the past has hospitalised her from the 7th week of the pregnancy.  Its a bit like the most severe morning sickness you can imagine... Anyway she will no doubt have to give up work again soon and this means I need the money to pay the bills and support my boys.  Very sad but there you have it...

I hope to be back in 12 months or so...

Paul
