Things are going a little slow at the moment as the wife has broken her ankle and we are on standby for her to go into hospital for a plate fitting.
So just getting the odd hour in here and there
I have got the front suspension back together now and waiting for brake return springs to turn up and then the front end will be complete

Is that a new arm or did you have the old one blasted?

Well I haven't posted about my Bis for a while but I have been quietly working away on her
I have spent quite a lot of my time sanding the bodywork ready for paint but no pictures as yet

You may also recall the engine came in boxes and had a lot of parts missing, well I managed to find a engine for spares which was nearly as bad when taken apart
Well I bit the bullet and purchased a new engine block and spent a lot of time cleaning and polishing the remainder and have now hopefully got a decent engine

Yes it is a real buzz and a real motivator. I hadn't posted for a while as there wasn't really much to see

I wish, doors, bonnet and tailgate still to paint but we are leaving them until I need them so as they don't get damaged

I will start with a couple of disasters  :(

The pictures you see of the car in paint are the ones I was sent by Dave who painted the car for me, when he sent them he did say the colour was different but I thought nothing of it as I suspected the original colour had faded
When I went to pick her up I was so disappointed for the first half an hour or so as the colour is nothing like original
The paint was ordered to the correct paint code by myself so I know it was ordered correctly so I will be going to have a word with supplier to see what has gone wrong

After I had looked round her for a good half hour and got over the initial shock I really warmed to the new colour it is a fantastic shade of Turquoise and really suits the car  :D
My friends who have seen it are amazed at the colour and think it is far better than original

I have tried to photograph her but I am finding it nearly impossible to capture the colour

The second disaster happened when I dropped the engine when refitting it and broke the thermostat housing which I have now swapped
