Looks great bud, I'm a big fan of retro style on then 126's. How easy/hard is it to band wheels? What's involved?

Thanks. If you are confident with a welder then there's not much to it really. First off i put wheels in the lathe and cut off the outer rim with the part off tool.I obtained some inch and a half stock and had them rolled into round bands that were roughly the right size then tack welded them in place. When i was sure they were all in the right place i welded them up.Mig on the inside then tigged the visible join.

Hmmm, sounds good, have you thought about some decals as well?

Ha great minds think alike. Yes dark red at the bottom but want to stay away from the usual abarth theme possibly just 126 on the decals

Nice steelies, what size tyres did you go for? If I can't find some nice alley cat style 7x13 or 6x12 I may go for banded steels. 8)
