-
Yes got it Gadge ;D

I won't be able to make it next year, but I highly recommend that everyone else does.
We'll be moving house in August and with a little one on the way, I'm never going to get a permission slip from the Missus.
The good news is we'll be moving to the Midlands, so I should be able to make a couple of Midlands/Northern shows in the future.
-
Just an update, we have 2 stand spaces left for this event
1. Gadge
2. midvillesb
3. Rusty's Uncle

-
Wright Guy's this is the last call, we still have one free space left on our club126 stand, all entries need to be in by this Friday as the tickets will be sent out direct by Admin at Brands Hatch next week, this will probably be the best show you will go to this year! The tickets for this event at the gate are £22+ send me your details now :D
-
I've already purchased my ticket and everything, didn't realise the club was a thing but can I have that last slot?
-
Hi Dan, if you got a Fiat and its a 126 no problem ;D
Please PM me

this will probably be the best show you will go to this year! :D
how much are they paying you to make claims such as this :P
-
I think Pete's claims are not unreasonable ;D.
We have been to most classic car show over the years and the Brands Hatch one last year was one of the best we've been to. The fact we could drive our little 126 on the track was the highlight 8)
We just got our ticket today so big thanks to Pete for sorting it out :thumbup
-
lol, yeah I'm just pulling his leg!
I was tempted to buy a ticket for Brands Hatch, distance doesn't bother me and it seems this is the event with the most 126s attending this year. But from my experience of classic car shows... I just find them boring after I've walked through the field and seen all the cars in an hour. Heck, the main reason I'm going to the Cumbria microcar one is because we'll be driving about seeing the sights!
On the Fiat Forum the classic panda guys hold a "Panda camp" where all the owners meet up, go for a run and camp out at a different location each year. Would be great if we had something like that.
-
I genuinely can't wait for this show :D I wanted to go last year but I'ld already started my Resto by then so couldn't. It's the drive around the track that I'm excited about the most :D :D :D brands is my favourite motor circuit and to drive around the gp circuit - where all the old greats of formula one once drove - would be awesome :D
-
........speaking of which my ticket arrived today :D
Had to have a chuckle when I read the rules about the track parade ..... No overtaking, no holding the pack back to sprint off and no more than 30mph. I got nothing to worry about then :P
-
Think we were do a little more than 30mph :P
[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbPxqurrv5k[/youtube]
-
Just got my ticket from the post. I didn't know we get to drive on the actual race circuit - Wow. I can't wait.
-
For those who were thinking about it, its too late this is what your going to miss for free

Ferraris, Lamborghinis, italian racing cars... yawn! Needs more 126 if you ask me ;)

hey guys, enjoy the weekend, have fun!!
Don't tell them some of your cars are actually Polish :D  ;D
 Sorry, this is me just being jealous... :thumbup
-
Yes, I'm thinking, I might remove the old Polish tax sticker from the front window and the tacky 'Maluch' sticker/badge from the back, to make our 126 look a bit less Polish.

Ok guys less than 24hrs to go!! ;) the leaflet I received with my ticket says display cars are allowed on site from 7.00 and all display cars should be in the que by 9.00. I was thinking of rolling up at 8? What time is everyone eles getting there for?
-
Gadge that is going to be an early morning for you :o
I'm not sure what time we'll be there but will aim for 8-ish I guess.
I really hope they will move the track parade forward as it's scheduled for 6:30pm atm.
BTW if any of you guys coming need any 126 parts, just let me know. I might just have, what you are after :)
-
Like wise! I have some parts knocking around if anyone needs anything ;)
It'll be a 6 o'clock start for me if I'm to get there around 8 so it'll be a long day for me :D
-
I'll try to be there by 8am(ish) or before 9am. It is going to be a long day if the parade is about 6:30pm.
-
Oh, if you have a new oil dipstick, that would be great. Every time, I pull mine out to check the oil level, the rubber stays on the block. Is this fixable?
-
I don't have a spare dipstick but I do have a brand new rubber if you want it? It sounds like the rubber has perished
-
I actually bought the rubber separately, so it is new from Ricambio. I sort of help it out (with a screw driver so it stays with the stick) when I pull out the dipstick.
-
Just had a message from Tony Harrison who's managed to get a press pass so he will be taking photos of our 126's and Lancia's on the parade lap [emoji991]

Just heading off to bed for an early start tomorrow. The car has been playing up a bit today, bogging down and misfiring on hard acceleration from idle when hot, I've retuned it this evening so hopefully we'll be ok tomorrow but will be packing some tools just in case...
-
Who ever gets there first could they start to organise the stand please [emoji846]by that I mean all the Lancia's together - all the 126's together - the 2 x 500's + the Panda [emoji209] + the 131 at the end. Hoping to be down there early but just in case Thanks [emoji3]

We've just stopped off the M25 for a couple of mins and I've realised that I've left the sodding tickets at home on the kitchen table. Clare is going to send me photos of them but if one of you happens to read this and can let the organisers know, that would be great...
-
Got to the petrol station round the corner from home to fill up and petrol cap lock is stuck! Key won't budge it!
Called rescue service, so hopefully they can help get it off soon.
-
Keep at it, it's happened to mine a couple of times but will eventually come loose as if there was never a problem. :thumbup
-
We made it!
Lots of oil and twisting, got the petrol cap off. Got a temporary petrol cap from the petrol station.
-
Hi guys, I'm yet to introduce myself here, but in short, my name's Will and I have a 1999 126p which needs a lot of work. Anyway, I have quite a few photos of the 126s from today's parade lap, so I'll upload them somewhere and put the link here in a couple of days. :)
-
I got back home safely. Firstly, many thanks to Midvillesb for spotting and letting me know about the fuel leak. Secondly, thank you to, the Scottish gentleman who drives a Fiat 500 who kindly lent me his vice grip and ties. It was all I needed to get me home - many thanks again. I owe the two of you a pint or two. Finally, many thanks also for everyone's advice and support, Pete et al.
When I got home, the car did not reek with the smell of fuel for the first time in years. It think there was already a tiny leak for some time, and sort of worsened today. Anyway, the mystery of smell of fuel has been solved - at last.
I am very pleased with the car's performance on the way home. I was telling Pete how the car felt lethargic on the way to Brands Hatch and of course, the smell of fuel. It was a bad omen.
Quite pleased to meet old and new faces today. The drive around the circuit was worth it despite the number of cars!!! I'd love to do it again next year!!
Hope everyone got home safely.
Cheers,
Angelo
-
That's good news Angelo at least you'll be able to get it sorted now :thumbup
Big Thank You to everyone who turned up hope you guy's had a great day the cars, the racing and to finish with the parade lap is just the icing on the cake :yahoo:
Now the serious bit
Don't forget to pay the Dartford Crossing Toll By Tonight (Monday) or they will send you a hefty Fine
[PAY HERE] (https://www.dartford-crossing-charge.service.gov.uk/PayforCrossing/PayforCrossing)
-
Pete, thanks so much for organising the stand - it was the best show I've been to in a long time, would be great if we would make it a whole Club126 weekend next year, the camping facilities looked good. Great to see old faces and new.
Thanks also for the reminder about the Dart charge which as usual I'd completely forgotten about...
Angelo, glad to hear that you got home without any problems. Looks like I finally got the mixture on mine sorted, it ran faultlessly on the way home despite the big jam on the M25 before the crossing.
Will (and Pete), look forward to seeing your photos!
Cheers, Mike

Here you go, these are the best I have. Some of them are a bit fuzzy or out of focus, but they should mostly be okay :)
-
Thanks guys I had a fantastic day out! Nice to see you all too! I got back around 21:30 last night with only a broken oil pressure gauge (wire fell off) considering the 2.5 hour drive each way I'm well chuffed :D the parade lap was definitely a high light for me it was hilarious:D
Those photos are awesome! My personal favourite is me in front of a Ferrari :P
roll on next year :thumbup

Great day out!
Sorry we didn't really spend much time hanging out with our 126s, busy look at all the other stuff at the festival. My highlights of the show were the historic F1 cars driving around, the racing Mini that could hold its own up against Ferrari's etc and of course the parade laps at the end.
Big thanks for Pete, for organising it and for donating his ticket so we could actually go!
Great photos, Will, thanks.
-
Lovely photos! Many thanks!!
-
What a Fantastic event this year, here's a video of the parade lap, I managed to hitch a lift with Adriano in his special Italian imported Fiat 500 with a very special engine which was really really torque and very impressive even with three up.
[youtube]http://youtu.be/BC69sRUrxDM [/youtube]
-
Thanks Pete for the ticket and thanks to everyone who made it.
Nice to put some faces to some names!
The weather was great and there were amazing cars everywhere. We went to the grid walk at lunch and ended up in the pit area instead. Everyone else was wearing VIP badges but the didn't seem to spot us! We were up close to all the F1 cars. I'll upload some photos later.
Angelo - Glad the mole grips done the job!

Well done to Pete for getting this organised and to all the guys & gals who made it there despite one or two problems, mechanical or memory ;D. I have enjoyed all of the pics and videos so far and like Pete said at the top of this thread, "it's the big one" I recognised that exhaust note on Adriano's car as he came bye and took me for a run in his car. That engine is so well set up an the pull is quite amazing :)
-
-
-
It was a great show. I can't believe so many of you guys staid till the end.
Lovely photos and videos :good:
-
some great pics and cars there- I might even make this next year!!! ;)
-
If i can get a stand for next years event, we'll organise a weekend camping there ;D
