cool nigel..........not sure about whats left of that 500,they so cute,why do that?...

anyhow,one more try down my route,i have another top tin coming i hope,if i need to i will try your method...............good pic,i like your detailed workmanship,very nice to see that attention to detail,you know what i mean. :cool:

update,motor holding together........running well,am thinking of lightened balenced flywheel and fan from nanni next....any thoughts anyone?   :cool:

I didn't realise that the flywheels were any different. :shock:

As I understand it the flywheels were balanced with the cranks (to a degree)  so any new flywheel will need balancing. This should be done with the crank and the oil filter assembly for best results.[/i]

I've just weighed a 500 flywheel on some very crap scales and it came in at 6kg. If you like, I'll try and find something more accurate as i think those scales are off. My flywheel isn't available I'm afraid, but maybe Richard has one? or ask on the 500 board.

I think the Abarth 595 flywheel was 5.6kg, but i've heard of them down to 3kgs. I'd be worried about one that light in a 126 as they serve to dampen vibration as well as provide momentum.

I read somewhere that flywheels where different between early and later 126s.

hmmnn...i only thought of a lighter fly wheel because my little motor is not as 'snappy' on or off the throttle as id like.....makes fast changes/double de clutching down a bit cumbersome............pedals are perfect for heel an toeing,but motor is not quite up to it........ :cool:
