mmnn...well,bis mount kind-off works, but the alloy plate i fitted as a top panel is resonating,so,im laminating this to a 9mm malaysian ply panel............dont larf, remember mosquito airplanes??? timber/alloy and ply with two merlins nailed on...........good enough for 633 squadron=good enough for me!!

haha dave the ww2 survival rate in a 126 powered plane wouldnt be very good
imagine a bis engine! would be hard to change the headgasket during the first sortie
Stuey do you know anyone who has ever put a vw engine in a 126? Ive heard its been done but never seen it.
regards
Chris

Trabant engines are used for those little fold up planes. So I don't see why a 126 wouldn't.

ok guys, road tested last night........still holding together, carb is know firmly attacthed to the motor!! less vibrating=improved fueling etc.
still a tad rich tho.see my other post about plugs
so the laminated idea is working so far, coupled with the complete spring/rubber bushes from an aircooled (the bis one was too high) the carb is mounted to this via a custom bracket and the central bolt gives full adjustment for the angle of the carb,so not putting any strain on the softmounts..........lets see how this goes...............

update on the rubber spacers for the weber 40 carb, nanni stock them,as does turbo 1 sport, but nanni now also stock alloy ones with o ring inserts,i've just ordered some to see how they go.......the rubber ones seem ok at the mo,but i've never been keen on them.

What do you guys think to this. How much extra power would this give me/would it fit without problems?
