Track rod ends question.
« on: August 07, 2019, 01:55:33 PM »
I’m converting from LHD with a steering box to RHD with a rack.
I have the rack but need track rod ends.
Does anyone know if all track rod ends for a steering rack are the same and the tapers will fit all swivels/steering arms?
Thanks

I believe there is two different lengths. Have you got any photos of your steering rack?

Judging by the photo it looks like you need the longer ones. They are approx 21cm long.

Thanks that's really useful.
I've since found there are 2 types listed.
A shorter one has a 12mm thread and listed for a 126BIS, a longer one a 14mm thread and listed for a 126 Personal.
I just checked my rack - 14mm !!
Thanks for your help.
