I have recently fitted a cherrybomb and also finally got it MOT-ed on Saturday. Whoop-whoop :).

What's that white machine to the left of your Steyr-Puch, Ladislav ? Looks to me suspiciously like an MCA kit car - where on earth did you find one of those ?!!!

drcdb15 well spotted, it`s an MCA convertible. I bought it as another project, but haven`t had much time to spend on it yet.

The Blitz of course was a fairly prolific user of 126 donor cars; the CC Zero was a true kit car, produced in tiny numbers; the MCA... well, I've never seen one in the flesh, there are about 4 at least as I've found pictures of them on the internet, but they are SOOOOoooo rare!

Apart from those three, and not counting mods, body chops and so on of the 126, were there ever any other "proper" kit cars using the 126 as a donor?

I found an Impala a few weeks ago on a classic sales web site, but that was really based on the Fiat 500 though it would take the 126 engine too I believe. But in its day it was really a 500-donor rather than a 126.

So, any others? Elsewhere in Europe? (though kit cars were I believe peculiarly British due to the sales tax on cars in the 1960s not applying if the car was sold in kit form.)

[Sorry, gone a bit off-topic here, maybe the Mod can move this to a new thread?]

drcdb15 as you say I don`t want to go too off topic here, but there were actually more MCAs built than CCZeros. Two of the MCAs are now in Slovakia in the 126Fan guys collection.
You are always welcome to pop in and have a look. Better be quick though as it might be on eBay soon... :(

On another note I have finally fixed the gearbox oil leak on the 500(I hope) and also fitted a 126 gearbox torsion plate.

I took off my track rods, steering idler and steering box. Painted the rest of the car underneath in underseal and cleaned the box and idler up.

I woke up my Gamine last Friday, only did 69 miles last year, to find the battery flat. Charged it up and she fired up right away, checked all lights were working and took her down for an MOT today and she passed with flying colours.  Took a detour on the way home, there was a glimmer of sunshine for a change. 😎😎😎😎😎😎

I`ve done this today. Removed the running gear from the latest project for a quick refurb. Replacing the fuel tank tomorrow and checking the rest. It`s been been off the road for some 10+years, but I`m hoping to get it mot-ed soon.
I`ve also been playing with some exhaust alternatives for another project.
