Fixed the steering rack on my DeVille using the soon to be patented old bottle top technique and reset the brakes in readiness for the MoT retest on Wednesday, tuned my favourite blue car and the gorgeous green car and rebuilt the dynamo on my Giardiniera! All with a little help from a friend! Hot bath tonight and if I don’t fall asleep I might toot over to Appletreewick for a pint or two of Night Jar in the Craven Arms!

Wheel alignment done after replacing the steering box, idler and track rods. Feels likes a new car! All set for MOT on Tuesday now!

Tried to adjust the hand brake cable but ran out of adjustment at the wheels. Did a search and found an old thread advising there's some adjustment on the handbrake lever itself. Removed the plastic cover and the centre carpet, four bolts that secure the handbrake lever. Slacken them and slide the lever, which gives more adjustment.  :D

No need for new cable, unless it snaps of course.

Not quite today but had a great weekend at the Silverstone Classic. Car ran faultlessly if a little slow up the hills with the bags on the roof!

2 years after I garaged my Fiat and I have finally finished rebuilding the front suspension! (on the left side at least  :$ )

Problem was that the garage was about 180 miles from where I was living so that's the reason for the slow progress. It's finally being supported by its own wheel-bearings again! all ready for the trip up to my new garage mere inches from my house!

So the restoration should hopefully accelerate somewhat!

Here's a before:

And some afters:

Now to balance it on my dad's motorbike trailer  :o

With all the other jobs that still need doing, I really shouldn't have bought these new plates.

Great morning at Bicester Heritage today. Too much to see but got a quick snap of the 126. 80 faultless miles done in the sun!

The Silverstone Classic and the Bicester Heritage are not too far from me. It would be great if someone posted these events (and others?) in the "Meetings and Events" area. Yoshimimusi, I could have joined you!

Sorry I'm not much of an organiser I just focus on getting myself there! There may be a Bicester thing first weekend of Jan but I'm busy unfortunately although I'll try give some warning next time I'm attending something!

There's a new car cafe (massively short selling it) place opened up near Stratford-upon-avon called caffeine and machine which I just get to soon

Changed the ignition coil on my rusty, red car, I can’t believe what a big difference it makes, it’s always been a fast car but now it’s like a rocket powered Ferrari! 🚀🚗
