If you have an aircooled there are a lot of options.
This is a good link to the work carried out by a group of 126 based buggy builders.

It help a if you have an idea of budget or performance outcome to start with.

Watercooled are not as well documented for tuning unfortunately.

Hi it’s a year 2000 air cooled 650c. I have done a full renovation and would love to give it a little more power. All depends on cost if I am honest as the car doesn’t owe me much

Car is in Poland at my partners so looking for advise as it is difficult to explain when I can’t speak the language and my partner thinks I am crazy
