Hi Richard,
I used to sell the Solomatic frame and quite a lot to Fiat 126 and small car owners to tow behind motorhomes. Technically an illegal practise for vehicles under 750 Kg ! If you are going to use it minimise having your collar lifted by making sure your trailerboard is fully operational.
The Solomatic is designed to operate by fixing to the chassis or suspension as long as it does not impinge the steering going from lock to lock. Probably get away with the chain over the leaf spring on a 126.
www.aframes.co.uk has all their details. Richard is the Managing Director.
