I have modded the lock buttons to be the "door handles" you simply pop your finger through the hole and press the button to open the doors-

You can buy them separately but you will need to buy a set of coilovers to go with it.

danny here the basic measurements between the holes in cm and the length of the arms to the bolt hole for the a arms if you need any thing else let me know-

whilst waiting for the fuel system fitting and doing the wiring i decided to cut down my lip spoiler, I bought a mk golf (not gti) lip spoiler and cut 7 odd inches out of the middle, its currently drying in the garage after I glassed back in one piece...

I like your build mate. Looking good.

I just noticed the front cross member setup that you plan to run and cant help but think you will run into the same issue as i did where the calipers will hit the a arms when you turn the wheel.

If you want, have a look at what i have had to do to overcome the issue.

My page is:

https://www.facebook.com/FSM-NIKI-Project-1210331735674477/

I also have a thread on here warning about the issue.

Just on a side note, what wheel and tyre size are you running?

Thanks for the info fat650 I haven't got round to fitting my new front end yet but if it's a problem at the moment ill know what to do. I have 13x5.5j with 175/60/13s but I will be running 13x6j I haven't decided on tyre size but it will be a lower profile that before as I want to increase clearance.

Cool

what sort of offset are you running? And do you plan to run flares to accommodate the 6 inch wheels?

I'd have to check the offset I can recall what it is- the arches have been rolled and the inner wells were clearenced slightly on the inside and welded up so theres no lip and a test fitting I did before paint showed they would fit with the old tyre size (only just!) so the slightly lower profile should make it all fit nicely.

I'm sizing up a set of fiat 500 pop 14 inch steel wheels atm as its my only option and it seems the offset will need to be modified to clear my coilovers at the front and the a arms at the rear. I'm really keen to find out what sort of offset and max tyre width you can run in the standard guards.

I've read your thread but cant remember, do you have any engine swap plans?

Ill do some measuring when i get a chance. Im not swapping the engine but plan on beefing up the transmission and driveline then putting a small supercharger on it.

Not sure how you would beef up a 126 gearbox or why you would want too when Smallcox runs 100+ hp through a standard box with a 5th gear conversion  :)

Wrong words perhaps rusty, I'd like a 5 speed conversion. Myself and I would like to fit updated uj's
