Fitted new seat covers. www.pok-ter.pl make ones specifically for the 126 in various colours and styles, these ones cost about £50 including postage. Quality seems excellent, and certainly better looking than my previous normal car sized ones.

Also did an oil change. I'm used to doing them but I still wish it wasn't such a hassle... I miss the convenience of normal oil filters!

Behold, some new 15w40 API SG oil off eBay (a German company called Mannol makes it)

Made a nylon bush to repair the steering rack on the Brown. It had a really bad rattle over cobbles (which we have a lot of in Yorkshire!), the garage diagnosed the problem as wheel bearings so I bought a set but my friend took one look and found that the rubber bush on the steering rack had completely wasted away! He proceeded to thinly slice a plastic bottle top into pieces and used this to act as a bush! The rattle has gone completely and I've also learnt how to repair steering racks! I've got a spare rack as well with the same problem which a good friend gave me so I'm going to have a go at that myself!

Not 3what bush your talking about, is it in the rack or  holding the rack to through body. A picture would be good to see exactly what you've done

I'll probably get the term wrong but I think it's on the 'knuckle', I've got some pictures but dI'm not know how to load them, if you send me your e-mail address I'll send them over! Apparently it's a common fault on 126 racks but the repair could not have been more straightforward and probably took less than 30 minutes to do!  :thumbup

Went along to local classic car show last weekend opposite Bodium castle. Interesting day and plenty to look at. Parked up, went to register, returned to car and there were  two fiat 500's parked next to me. Nice chaps although I could sense one of them wasn't keen on 126's  ;). Both were tuned, one modified to about 45hp. Apparently beefed up to keep up with traffic. Anyway great day out. 8)
