Can't get over this. Some people make me so sick. When they grow up I hope their pride and joys in life meet a bad end. Best of luck with the revival.

when shes done, fit some hefty bumper iorns and run them down, then they'll know how they made you feel :P

sadly this is the problem with owning a classic car.. they stand out.
out of the whole street, expect the special one to get special treatment. people get jealous and have to damage other things, bet you they dont have anything nice like what they damaged at home!

best way to get your own back is to get her back to her former glory! dont give up, just keep working at her, it'll be slow but you'll feel like a champion once you've done it!

it adds to the cars history!

as a community, we'll give you all the support you need!

Very sorry to hear that. People can be absolute #$%^%. I hope the restoration is going well, it's a pity it happened in winter.

The first week I had my Fiat I parked it in the city behind a group of shops and some b^stard decided to use the roof of my car to climb up onto the roof of the shop.  :( Still got the dent in it!

I forgot to mention that I saw the article in Practical Classics - just by chance as well I was in ASDA with my flatmate and I told him I was just going to flick through the odd car magazine in case there was the rare case of a Fiat 126 being in it - low and behold I flicked open to the right page and saw your 126!

Yes contacted me for the story  ;D

I had a bit of a play with Beryl today.
I removed the steering column to look at re attatching. The whole assembly is knackered and bent.
It looks like they tried to force the ignition lock and managed to bent the shaft in the process.

Has anyone got a -

Mine is rather:-

I would also need the key as the lock is also damaged.

I had noticed that on removing all the interior some of the 'tarmac' was starting to crack.
That is the 5mm black tar that covers the interior of a 126. I picked off a couple of bits and was amazed that is was still holding water. I have now started the laborious task of removing it all.
Behind the rear seat was first, that came away with a heat gun and scraper.  Water was sitting in the ridges.
I have nearly finished  the back parcel shelf. I needed to chisel the bits off in small chunks.
I assume the floor will be the worse.
I was wondering how much all this extra weight actually weighs. Has anyone weighed it?

Is this just sound insulation? it is certainly not to keep water out  :o

If anyone has removed this, what method did you find best?
