Brake lights
« on: May 24, 2019, 06:21:03 PM »
The issue I have is uneven brake lights. The passenger side brake light is bright and normal. However, the driver's side brake light brightness is very weak. Do I need to replace the driver's side tail light circuit board? Maybe the circuit board contacts are slightly defective. I sand papered slightly the base bulb contacts, and pushed both (prongs?) upwards for better contact with the bulb. There was no change.

Most likely to be an earthing problem, do all the lights work properly? Check with side lights, indicators on while someone is operating the brake pedal

Hi Pete,
As far as I know, everything works. I'll recheck tomorrow.

From recollection, i think the driver's side tail lights/brakes electricity source comes from the passenger side tail lights/brakes

I am assuming yes (wattage?), but I shall double check.
