Replaced the door cards, looking a bit more presentable now. Although now I'm not sure what colour of fabric to re-do the seats with, since they matched the beige/white/grey original cards. I don't want dark seats, as that'll make the car feel even smaller.

Ran out of petrol at a closed petrol station.. Got rescued by my brother! Found out my petrol gauge has decided to break, going to dig further into it later in the week :p

Installed a new starter, but it seems to block sometimes. I think I have to mail the manufacturer.

Hi there,

the starter seems to be OK now, didn't hesitate today when I fired her up a few times during the day.

I lubricated the accelerator today, because it sometimes sticks, which is, off course, not a good situation. I also took a look at my front lights, leading to the well known frustration of the little plastic things they have used on the BIS.

While I was doing that, and here comes the question, I also tested the windscreen washer pump and the read window washer pump. They both work fine, I can see the water getting pumped up, but at the rear window, I do not see any water. Can anyone point out where the water should come out and land on the rear window, cause I don't see it :-). It's a BIS from 1989. A picture would be great

If your standing at the back of the car looking at the tail gate it should be at the top left of the window :thumbup

That thing in the red square on the picture? That's a kind of "plug" than, I presume. I guessed it should come through there, but is't flat. Maybe they closed it when they threw the wiper away (for an unknown, probably stupid reason). I'm still looking for one, but they are not easy to find. Read wiper motor works.

I had a busy morning doing a steering rack conversion, disc brake conversion, fitting a new reverse eye spring and 14" rims.

Now time for a cuppa, or is it too early for a beer?

I measured it up, did the drawings and had the plates laser cut.

Oh fair enough! Will you be making the drawings available? :)

Is there any bump steer?

I see no reason not to make the drawings available.

I still need to adjust my camber when the new spring settles and have it tracked properly. I only did a few miles in it today and I didn't feel any bump steer.

The rack is mounted as close as possible to the BIS mounting position as I could make out from photos I found online, although I don't have the actual measurements from a BIS

I`ve fitted this beauty toady. A virtually new Dell`orto FZD. Big thanks to Rusty`s Uncle again for hooking me up :thumbup
It runs lovely, just have to play with the mixture a bit.
