Does anyone know how to get hold of a form V112 to register a pre 1978 car as a vehicle exampt from MoT ahead of the changes due to take place on 20th May? There is a form online but it has nit been updated with the changes yet and is for pre 1960 cars.

Thanks, Pete, just trying to get ahead of the game, I'm dead keen to drive my cars again now the weather is good but too (Yorkshire) tight to pay for a MoT!

All sorted and easy peasy too, 5 cars MoT and tax free today and another one to do soon! I've been hanging on to try and save some cash but hoping to get out in my favourite blue car later today for the first time in a long time!

Good luck with that Pete. Doesn't look like the new MOT will affect the 126 too much.
Mines due soon

Andy, it was not to be this time, had to tweak the idle mixture but it failed on a rear wheel bearing and handbrake but i can live with that, so just needs new rear shoes and a bearing

Stick with it, Pete, I'm sure that you will get there! The Silver is in for a MoT on Thursday, it's got a few less than perfect things but hopefully the MoT chaps won't spot them! 😉

Hooray! The Silver passed on a retest, it cost me a small fortune for brake pipes and a faulty headlamp that fixed itself when I went over a bump but I am so happy! The Brown is next up on Tuesday and should fly through!

Nearly there with mine 🙂 got the new handbrake cable today and see if that sorts out the problem, so that’s 2 new wheel bearing’s 2 new wheel cylinders and a set of rear brake shoes, so retest ASAP 😁
