Hi all, yes Amateb there are less and less 126's on the road here around Warsaw area! i get people looking at my 126 parked up or when i'm out and about! and 3.1 million were built here!  :o The prices are going up on Allegro.pl also! Still a few £80 around, but not many. I need a new floor in mine already and its only 11 years old! can't find one here though! So, i don't know what to do?!

I haven't seen a 126 TA before, the only other special 126 type was the 126I which was for disabled people...

1975 aircooled on eBay in need of work....maybe there are more like this 'under the radar' causing the figures to show less than there actually are?  I thought mine (1973) was rare but there seem to be lots coming up lately...

You're right there, I'm sure if you haven't taxed your car after a certain date, you don't have to declare it SORN (the date was something like Jan 1990), hence why there'll be a lot under the radar, forgotten about or gathering dust in garages.

Well I have 1 taxed and 1 sorn, and I saw a 1970s turquise blue 1 in mistley where I live the other day and a friend saw 1 in Clochester that was stickered up with possible skater stlye graphix!!

Thats 4...............

Hi all,

New here, but joining in anyway!  markymarc - I own the Mistly/Colchester one now - it's turquoise with stickers too, so maybe that's the same one?  It's a full-time Colchester 126 now!  :D

Anyway, the different models... brown, de-ville, de-ville...etc, I'm not sure what kind mine is.  VIN says 126A00, does that mean it's a 'brown'?

And why on earth would they call a model of car 'brown'?  I personally would've chosen 'pink' or 'technicolour' ;)

But yes, very shocking to see how few there are around now.  I know I personally haven't seen one for years, and by the reaction I get driving it (smiles, even waves!), I don't think many people have.  Such a shame!  Wonderful, amazing little car!
Lina - as in Lyna - as in dustbin liner, eye liner, ocean going... etc!

Hi all
This is my first post on here. I have 4 126s, all on sorn. Bought my first one in 04 and started work fitting a Honda Blackbird engine in the rear end. Most of the work at the rear has been finished, diff, drive shafts, hubs and wheels. Have over the years been trying to change the front suspension, I have mini bottom arms and have had some top wishbones made up. Still needs alot more work doing to it.
In 05 I bought another one, used it for a while until the head gasket went. Its been standing since 06 and I have decided to get it back on the road again.
I bought another one last week which was all in bits, it came with a disc kit including stub axles, hubs and top arms, larger rear brakes, lowered front and rear springs, and shock absorbers. And they are all new and unused.
I have another one that is only good for spares.

 Graham

Are your 126s aircooled or watercooled (Bis) versions?

I've just spotted a BIS tonight, roadworthy but not as tidy as mine. So that's 2 i know of within 20 miles of each other in North Wales!

Are there any other 126s in (or near) Halifax?  There's a good pub near me (Olde White Beare) and it would be good to meet up...
