There is a very interesting project similar to this on youtube. The only difference is the guys are fitting a Celica gt4 (4 well drive turbo) into a Mini. They have 4 vids so far and there will be more as the project is still ongoing. Just type 'project binky' into YouTube.

Are you/have you put any triangulation on the white painted box section locating the subframe?

No. these are just welded on som thick plates thats is welded on the orginal inner arch. And I'm going to weld brackets on top of these again, under the front bonnet. The brackets will hold the top of the strut. :)

it wll be intresting to see what progress you manage to make over the winter. it will be good to see the finished project, i think it will be absolotly crazy but in a good way. :P
