wheel alignment
« on: June 06, 2020, 10:35:09 PM »
Hi, I am on the last few days of finishing my 11 year rebuild on my 126. I read somewhere somebody had a guide for doing wheel alignment at home. Can anyone give me a clue to how I go about doing this. I did not read the manual properly when I removed the rear arms and did not count the spacers. Also how is it so hard to get the correct track rod ends....everywhere I look they are M14 threads my track rod ends are M12.

thanks in advance

Mr Bruton, you posted this thread at 22.35 last night if you were in such a rush I can't understand why you didn't Google it in the first place

Not really getting any answers here for anything, bit disappointed really. Used to get more reply's to posts years ago when I first joined. Asking in other posts about engine issues and I posted several times over about a week and eventually got one comment. No answers just a comment as positive as it was. 55 views no replys ..... just saying

To be fair rear wheel alignment is beyond the scope of most 126 owners and usually requires specialised equipment to get this correct. On the other hand if it is front wheel alignment information that you require I used to use a Gunson Trakrite Wheel Alignment Gauge.

Regarding the track rod query have you tried Mister Auto https://tinyurl.com/y6w2rmdq ?

Thanks for the info Chris, I will check them out. I agree about wheel alignment but just wanted to get as close as at home before I go for m.o.t. First m.o.t in 11 years. maybe this week maybe next...fingers crossed
