Hi All,
Re: Polish based insurance for a Fiat 126p.
if anyone is brave enough to buy one and drive it back to the uk i have some news on insurance.
Apparently in Poland they insure the car not the driver, so as long as you have a valid licence you can drive any car.
Normally this insurance is transferred to the new owner automatically. I have a little fear of driving out of Poland into Germany and it being cancelled.
Therefore i have done some research on my own insurance cover when i purchase a fiat 126p soon. There is a company called AXA Direct.PL and there cover price is 580 Zloty = £120 per year for eu cover and breakdown. Compared to £1500 to transport it to the UK.
I hope this helps someone.

Axa also said once the car is registered in the UK, to email them a copy of the certificate and they will refund any unused time on the insurance, possible around £80 so sound like the cheapest offer too.
Thanks Danny
